A good day.

Despite my 7:00am arise this morning when it was so dark it felt wrong getting up, i've had a good day. I've had a fairly busy day as far as lectures go, with seminars, assignment briefings and the usual shorthand lecture, but i feel good.
I'm finally going home this weekend after being at uni for over two weeks now and even though i love uni and my friends here, i'm excited to see some friends back home and my family. I'm going shopping on saturday with my friend and i'm really looking forward to it. I literally can't stop spending recently, and i should be worried with the amount i will end up spending by the time the week is out. However, needs is must and i need everything (okay, want) on my list. Yes, i make lists. I am an organised freak.
I've noticed recently that more and more people on the Journalism course, (be it sport, single honours, or whatever other combined course they offer) are leaving uni and the course. I can't help but feel sad that these people are leaving the journalistic-teaching world. Without sounding too soppy, i really believe that i made the right decision going to the uni that i do and doing the journalism course. I love it a lot and i couldn't imagine myself leaving. Today we got 2 more assignments, which although partly consists of conducting interviews alone, i couldn't be more excited.
Moving onto other non journalistic related things, i've noticed that not all boys deserve to be tarred with the same disappointing brush. 3 different guys held doors open for me today. 3. I've never known it. At college, most of them would just let the door swing in your face or push in front of you when you were taking too long, but not today and not at uni. It really made me think that they aren't all bad. Also, from my short 5 months actually living with boys in my flat and spending time with the Sports journalists on the course which mainly consists of guys, that some are decent. There i said it. Some boys aren't that bad.
On another note, today i read something in 'The I' which made my day. Charles and Camilla (aka the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall) were pictured on the tube in London yesterday to celebrate the 150th birthday of the underground. It really made me laugh. The picture of them is cracking too. Even though it was only a journey of three short minutes, the incentive is there, i guess.
