First weekend at uni : thoughts

So, the day finally came for me to move into uni and i have to admit, i was really nervous, i almost didn't want to come as i thought i wouldn't like it and living away from home was not something i really wanted to do. However, i have been here for two days now and i am LOVING it. I love my flatmates, they are all so nice and everyone seems to be getting along well. Monday is the start of my induction week and then the week after is when lectures properly start. It's been really nice just going for drinks with my flatmates and just getting to know them all, and even though i've already drank too much and laughed hysterically because a carrot was just in a club bathroom, i'm having a great time. Also, i feel comfortable around most of my flatmates and feel like i can be myself, which is great because not everyone always feels that way. Everyone is just looking out for one another and being sensible which is good.

My accomodation is actually really great and my bathroom is nice and the bedroom is fairly spacious. It's fairly boring with white walls as expected, but it has two big notice boards which allow you to make the space your own. Foodwise, i've been eating fairly well at the moment, pretty much what i eat at home and i've discovered how much i overpacked in the food department, haha. Something else i've also learnt about myself since being here, is that i take a fair while to get ready, which i never thought i did! At least i'm "discovering" things i didn't know about myself. I've also noticed that when i drink, i talk, a LOT. I'm a fairly quiet person anyway, but not too shy when i'm around people, but over the past few nights, i've been noticing i'm revealing embarrassing bodily things, like the fact that i get purple hands and feet.

My induction timetable is pretty hectic and i feel that i won't be in my flat much next week, which is a shame as i'm having a bloody brilliant time.

Cheers to passing A levels and going to uni!
