College collapsed. Yes, you read right. Sadly, only a fraction of college was affected, but the damage that was done was enough to brighten up my Wednesday afternoon. Feeling rather pleased with myself as I had just been to the college magazine meeting, buzzing with new ideas for an article (ok, i have none - but im working on it), I decided to sit in my usual spot with my friends. As I went over to the bin to put my empty crisp packet in the bin, i heard this almighty crash. Running to the door thinking someone had gone full length down the stairs, I noticed the ceiling on the floor. Yes, the ceiling, on.the.floor. It was enough for my mood to be brightened right up, as the day after I had an awful grammar quiz AND a timed essay to endure. I went home feeling pretty happy and a quick facebook status let everyone know what had happened. When I arrived to college on thursday, everyone seemed to have forgotten about the demolition site and the collapse or they simply did not know about it. It was rather disappointing actually, I thought they would have closed college. Silly me. Moving on.
I still do not have a part time job. I have come to the conclusion that nobody wants to hire me. Couldn't imagine why, seeing as I'm so brilliant, but hey. (In case you didn't realise, that was sarcasm. I am sorry to report that are not so many brilliant things about me *cough*) I've applied for a few part time christmas jobs, but like my many other tries, it came to no avail. I will try again, as I have the threat of not continuing with contact lenses if I do not have a job by christmas. (there will be a full other post on contact lenses and the ridiculously high prices for being able to see properly at a different time)
I feel like this post has been a short post. I hoped it would be longer, but hey, I don't even know if you've been reading it all. If you're still here, THANKYOU, it pleases me to know that I am not wasting my time talking to nobody.
For once in my life I have many plans this weekend. I'm out for tea (or as some will call it 'dinner') tonight with two of my close friends, tomorrow i am job hunting and will be spending too much time in costa coffee with another friend and sunday, I am volunteering at a carboot sale. Oh how exciting my life is! :')
It is currently Friday, and i have failed to mention that college give me fridays off! aaah, i can almost hear your cries of jealousy! fear not bloggers! if and when i DO get a part time job, I will be giving up my extra day of sleep to work, for money, so i can buy nice things and keep my contact lenses.
Until next time, I will be spending most of my time trying to pass my A level year, meeting the demands of one certain teacher who I shall NOT name and her never ending list of homework, and spending time in bed. asleep. good day!
