'Lightning' strikes the UK and hundreds of teenage girls are struck (including me)
*For many non 'The wanted' fans, this blog may not make sense or have any interest or relevance to you. If this is the case, i suggest you go and wait patiently for my next blog as you won't really appreciate this blog post. However, if you are a 'The wanted' fan, read on and enjoy. This blog will make more sense to you than the rest*
Lightning struck the UK, officially, at 12:00am this morning. And I was there to witness it. ok, lightning didn't actually strike, but it will have done somewhere in the world. For you guys to make sense of this crazy blog, I'm going to explain a bit more on what the hell i'm on about. Basically, it's that time again when all of The wanted's fans on twitter unite and the whole of my timeline is taken over by this massive countdown to midnight. The Wanted have just released their 6th single, 'lightning' at 12 this morning. All the fans on twitter and some of the boys themselves have made it in to a metaphorical form of speech, saying that 'Lightning has struck the UK'.
I'm not going to lie. I stayed up till 12 this morning to download it from itunes, then I finally went to sleep. Fun, huh? Twitter was just one crazy TW fest in the early hours of this morning. Itunes was crashing, songs weren't downloading, and girls were going crazy. I have put up some pictures below of band member Nathan's tweets which kept us all on our toes until midnight finally arrived. It feels fun to be part of something like this!
In case you didn't know, the Big top 40 show's number 1 goes off the most downloaded songs from that week and I'm hoping that 'Lightning' gets to number 1 before 7pm tonight! They deserve another number 1 and I think they should get it this week! If you want to buy 'Lightning' off itunes for £0.99 click the link below :
